Our Commitment to Access
Taylor-Grady House is committed to making our digital and physical spaces welcoming to everyone. Accessibility is not an afterthought here. It is part of how we build.
This Website
We designed taylorgrady.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That means:
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions
- Descriptive alt text on all images
- Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
- Full keyboard navigation, including focus traps and Escape key support in menus and overlays
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and devices
- No content that relies solely on color to convey meaning
The Property
The Taylor-Grady House is a National Historic Landmark built in 1844. The building and grounds present accessibility challenges common to historic properties. We are working to improve physical access wherever possible while respecting the historic character of the site. If you have specific access needs for a visit or event, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate you.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on this website or at our property, we want to know. Please reach out so we can address it.
